By the end of the day, the Yamuna River's water level had dropped to roughly 1.50 lakh cusecs. Around 70 villages in the Indri and Gharaunda blocks of Karnal were inundated as a result of the river overflowing, and the authorities in the district of Karnal are now on high alert.

The improvement is a huge relief for the locals in Delhi and Haryana's low-lying river districts.

The water flow rapidly increased and even reached 2.50 lakh cusecs on Saturday, forcing the officials to open all of the floodgates of the Hathnikund barrage. The authorities had issued an alarm.

But by the evening, the water had started to go down and by nightfall, it had dropped to about 1.50 lakh cusecs. Around 70 villages in the Indri and Gharaunda blocks of Karnal were inundated as a result of the river overflowing, and the authorities in the district of Karnal are now on high alert.
